I founded Forest & Ocean with a simple belief: nature has a quiet way of guiding us back to ourselves.

Long before there was a business, there was a desire to care for the people I loved. As a mother, I was not searching for more products. I was searching for gentler, more meaningful ways to support my family’s everyday wellbeing—ways that reflected my values, honoured nature and created moments of connection.

Forest & Ocean grew from those moments.

Every collection begins with someone I love, an experience that has shaped my life or a genuine need I have witnessed within our community.

Meet Aimee

My journey has been shaped by love, motherhood and challenge.

I am a mother to a son with Autism and ADHD. Over the years, I searched extensively for gentle practices that could accompany the conventional support he received and help our family create moments of calm, consistency and connection.

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis as a young woman and, in 2020, with an autoimmune disease. These experiences changed the way I understood health, self-care and the importance of listening to my body.

I began to recognise that wellbeing was not always found in doing more. Sometimes it was found in slowing down, breathing deeply and creating small moments of stillness within an otherwise demanding day.

That understanding became part of the heart of Forest & Ocean.

Inspired by the people I love

Perhaps the most personal part of Forest & Ocean is that every collection has a story.

Sand & Seed

My youngest son experienced sensitive skin as a baby. I wanted gentle, thoughtfully created products that I felt confident making part of our family’s daily routines.

That experience became the foundation of Sand & Seed—a collection inspired by childhood, closeness and the small rituals of care shared between parents and their little ones.

Rite of Her

Rite of Her was inspired by my teenage daughter and my own experiences of Endometriosis and womanhood.

I wanted to help create a different conversation around periods, changing bodies and the many seasons of a woman’s life—one grounded in knowledge, dignity, compassion and pride.

Rite of Her exists to encourage women and girls to understand their bodies, speak openly about their experiences and approach each new stage without shame.

Inner Tides

Inner Tides was inspired by my son and the way he experiences emotional highs and lows.

It became a collection centred around the gentle reminder to pause, breathe and reconnect with ourselves—especially during days that feel busy, overwhelming or emotionally demanding.

Rooted Rhythm

Rooted Rhythm grew from my experience of living with chronic pain and from witnessing my ageing father navigate his own difficult days.

It was created around the importance of intentional touch, grounding rituals and taking time to care for the body when life asks us to carry more than we would like.

Shaped by our community

While many Forest & Ocean collections began with deeply personal experiences, others have grown from listening to the stories, challenges and hopes shared by people in our community.

Every bottle is created with intention because every collection begins with a genuine human need.

We do not want our products to become another task added to an already busy day. We want them to become part of something meaningful—a quiet pause before school drop-off, a mindful breath before work, a bedtime ritual shared with a child or a moment of care at the end of a long day.

These small moments can gently bring us back to ourselves.

The meaning behind Forest & Ocean

The name Forest & Ocean reflects the two places that have always helped me return to what matters.

The forest reminds me to slow down, become still and feel grounded.

The ocean reminds me to release what I no longer need, embrace change and trust life’s natural rhythm.

Together, they represent balance: stillness and movement, grounding and flow, holding on and letting go.

That is the feeling I hope every Forest & Ocean ritual creates.

More than a product

One of my greatest realisations was that Forest & Ocean had become much more than a collection of natural products.

It had become a philosophy for living.

In a fast-paced world, it can be easy to lose sight of who we are beneath the busyness. Forest & Ocean offers an invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature, care for ourselves and become more present with the people we love.

Our rituals are not about perfection or adding more pressure to the day. They are about transforming ordinary moments into meaningful ones.

Forest & Ocean is about remembering that care can be simple.

A breath.
A pause.
A familiar aroma.

A return to yourself.
